We Loved Being Part of AEEA’s 2024 Environmental and Outdoor Education Conference
When we submitted our presentation proposal (Promoting Energy Efficiency and Greenspace Revitalizaton: A Holistic Neighborhood Approach)to the Arkansas Environmental Education Associationearlier this year, we knew our intersectional focus on food insecurity, energy insecurity and building community trust via grassroots engagement would be a bit outside the box. We’re so grateful to the AEEA for accepting our concept and welcoming us to their June 11th/12th conference in North Little Rock, where Climate League Board members Jo Elsken and Herbert McGill spoke with non-formal educations about our holistic approach in Fort Smith.
