On Monday, March 23 our Resource Center launched a Tool Lending Library for neighborhood residents.  Assistant Administrator Tara McDaniel worked hard  preparing this community resource.  We have chosen tools which can be specifically paired with our existing DIY energy efficiency materials like standard cut-to-fit door sweeps and socket sealers, as well as tools for general home improvements including working on running toilets and tightening leaking spigots.   Our Resource Center, located in the McGill Center at 521 N. 6th Street in Fort Smith,  is open MWF from 11 – 1 p.m. We’re very grateful to the Western Arkansas Community Foundation for awarding us a grant to start this project.
