On October 8th we were thrilled to be joined at Antioch for Youth and Family by Fort Smith Mayor George McGill, Stephen Walker of Stitt Solar, Antioch Director Isaac Salazar, Antioch volunteers, and local climate advocates to hoist our People Power Team’s Community Energy Innovation Prize solar banner.  Stitt Solar is moving the Antioch solar project through its permitting process and installation will begin soon. The monthly energy bill savings will allow Antioch to improve its refrigeration system, resulting in the ability to provide more fresh food to the 3000 families served monthly.  The People Power Team’s first Community Energy Innovation Prize solar Installation, which went up on the Elizabeth McGill Center in July, is already saving that vital community hub $600 per month.
